Looking to see why my Trans did what it did.. Picked it up from Trans shop ( Trans went under warranty and shop rebuilt it) went back to them 3 times and they said there was no issue and to drive it. In 25 degree weather it would run at 180-185 degrees. They said pick it up and drive it because nothing is wrong with it, 22 miles later started overheating (230+ degrees) got off highway and on the exit ramp slowing down it went BANG. Wouldn't move any more. Just grind. They pulled it out and apart said everything looked fine except the reverse parts that were seized inside the case and said it had a lubrication issue... What happened in there? How do I prevent it from happening again? It also threw a torque converter lock up solenoid code.
