I normally live down in the south, so have not really had any encounter with starting my truck in the cold. Came up north and have had a few problems.
Checked FICM when I was down in the south and the voltage stays at 48 degrees with key on, starting, and running.
Batteries are new and fully charged.
No codes popping up.
The truck will start fine in 30 degree weather, has a little problem in 20 degree weather, and then refuses to start when it hits around 18 degrees. Cranks and cranks and cranks and every time it cranks a puff of white smoke comes out the tail pipe.
I am leaning towards GPs, but everything I have read says that glow plugs will throw a code...
