Just bought a 2008 F250 (cc, swb, 4x4, 150k) that's throwing a P0306 #6 cylinder misfire detected code. Truck runs great and lie-o-meter is reading between 18-19 mpg on a 40 mile trip (99% highway, driving 60-70). No smoke, MAYBE a slight miss at idle...maybe. Can't tell for sure.
I've owned an 03 f350 w/ the 6.0 since 2010. This was my first time to drive a 6.4l and I can't believe the power difference (or at least the 'quickness' difference). Makes my 6.0 feel doggy.
I have researched that a P0306 is usually low compression or bad injector or injector connection.
Would like to get some opinions on what is most commonly the solution for this code and where I should start with trying to pinpoint the problem without just throwing parts at it.
