Ive been having trouble getting hot air to blow out of my vents this year unless the engine is almost all the way warmed up and driving on the highway. Its never been that great but seems worse this year than the last 2 I've owned it. Around town it just simply doesnt cut it. I just replaced the thermostat so I know thats not it. The 06 I drive at work blows hot air when the temp needle is barely starting to move (no digital gauges in that truck). Same thing for the 04 I owned before this one.
It switches between vent/floor/defrost just fine, although the driver side vents are noticeably weaker than the passenger vents. Maybe its a bad heater core? Its been brutally cold this year and it's not fun driving a 2 year old to day care at 630am when its -10 outside. I don't wanna start sinking money into this thing just fishing for whats wrong. Any help would be great.
