I was looking at pulling the front bumper on my 2008 Super Duty to have it repainted due to rock chips that are starting to rust. Well a co-worker of mine may have solved my dilemma.
Today he used my garage to replace the front brakes on his 350Z. When backing out of the garage, he forgot to pump his brakes prior to moving his car. The result was me yelling "stop stop stop" and him running the passenger side rear of his 350Z into the driver's side of my front bumper. He was only backing out, but it was more damage than I would have expected.
His Z took the brunt of the force and creased and dented his rear fender as well as scuffing his plastic lower body panel.
My Super Duty bumper has some paint transfer and is scuffed. It looks like it might have bent it in, ever so slightly.
He called his insurance company and I should get a call tomorrow I guess.
I'm not sure what his insurance company will offer, and if I should just let them repaint the bumper, or ask for the cash and handle it myself. Alternatively, I could use the money to get a Road Armor or similar aftermarket bumper
Decisions, decisions, decisions..........
