The other day my truck started overheating and I noticed the coolant was a tad low, so I topped it off but it kept overheating. I figured it was due to some blockage in the radiator and when I drained the coolant to flush the radiator I found a bunch of loose deposits that looked like gravel sitting on top of the core. I've never performed a radiator flush before; is this indicative of major corrosion in the radiator to the extent that I need a new one or will the detergent in the radiator flush clean this out?
