Will be in Vegas for 5 days in February for a softball tournament. Wife wants to do the tourist thing, neither of us are gamblers. Tournament is in Majestic Park in NW Vegas. Smoke free, good bed, and good sheets are important to me. Looks like park is 20 minutes from the strip. Where is the best bang for the buck to stay, best place to eat, and cool places that we need to go to. Were in our mid 40's, conservative, and would rather watch George Straight than Celine Dion. Wife wants on the strip, but I'm open as long as it in at least north of the strip.
Old vegas? Fremont? Strip? Non-casino hotels. I don't know...
I'm concerned about booking a room for 70 a night, then getting hit with parking fees, concierge fees, resort fees, valet fees, and taxes bumping it up to 150 a night.
Thanks in advance for your response.
