2002 7.3 PSD, few questions

OK, first of all, former ambulance worked/abused vehicle. Box cut off, so just front doors/roof/hood...no back glass/etc....and of course, all sitting on the stock 1 ton dually frame.

Its got 400,000 miles of ambulance abuse under it's belt, and when it was driven to my shop for some work, it appears they got it there a little too late.

Serp belt came apart, wrapped around fan, locked it up, and no telling how much (if any) or fast the water pump was spinning.

So, when he got it to to shop (goes to show you about kids todays), it was BOILING over and then it died/stalled. Tried kicking her back off, but nothing.

So, let it cool down for awhile, put a new belt on.

Truck has a long start, and if I keep foot to floor, it starts sooner that way. Once she is up and running, has a miss to it, and I can tell that the up pipes have been (and are currently) leaking.

Check fluids, cooling system all but empty, and check oil and got choc milkshake.

My take is:

The kid was driving it, belt came apart, tied up fan, started running hot, kept driving it, boiling over, and probably didn't want to be left stranded so he kept driving, and popped head gasket.

Before I REALLY dive into it (iave got a whole bunch of vans Ive got to look at....five 6.0's, one 6.6 D-Max, and this 7.3 to start with.

But anyways....can yo guys throw out some idea's on something I MIGHT be overlooking, that could cause these sysmptons:

water in oil
miss
long hard start, unless hold foot to floor.
And we know has leaking up pipes.

Oh, this model is NON intercooled. Guess it being on a 2002 Van, they didn't feel the need to?????

Thanks guys,
