My early 04 f250 started losing power with little to no acceleration, then died on the road. Originally it would start when cold, but wouldn't get above 1000 rpms. I changed fuel filters and replaced the IPR, but now it will crank but no start on its own. It will start briefly if I use a gas rag on the intake. I don't have a scanner and it will be at least a week until I can get it scanned professionally. In the meantime, is there a way I can check the oil pressure and/or fuel pressure on my own? What kind of issue can cause a no-start on its own, but will start with a gas rag? Would it do the gas rag start if it's the FICM?
