Hope you guys can give me something to try and get this truck back to running. I think I've read about everything on the internet about restarting a 6.4 but can't seem to get this thing running for love nor money.
The way this came about was after shutting off the truck I drained the separator. I don't remember if it had just finished a regen or if it might have still been in regen when I shut it down. Several hour later when I was ready to leave it wouldn't start. It would turn over quickly until the batteries wore down but made no a temp to fire. I suspected a fuel filter change due and put in a Wix filter, run the key bleed method and still no start. Bleed air from the fuel cooler banjo bolt and schrader valve removing several gal of fuel. Still no start. Checked the emergency cut off switch, not tripped. Removed and checked all fuses, none bad. From running the low press pump so much must have bound it up so replaced it with a new one and have a very good fuel flow. Still no start.
Changed out the Wix filter for a new set of Fords, bleed again, charged batteries and again it cranks great but no fire. I had it trailered 45 mile to home so it would be easier to work on but have run out of ideas. I thought it might be a sensor gone bad and was wondering if there is anyway to check the EGT sensors in the tailpipe? I heard the last one after the DPF goes bad.
My trucks been down for about 3 months and would really like to get it back on the road. Any idea or advice would be very much appreciated.
